Hello,
Mavericks (OS X 10.9) is available only as a direct download from Apple’s Mac App Store. This method of distribution is convenient, but it’s not without challenges and questions. Mac OS X 10.6 - Java SE v6; Mac OS X 10.5 or earlier - Java SE v5; Java v12 is the latest Java version but is only available as a JDK developer edition; Java v11 is currently supported but is only available as a JDK developer edition; Java v10 has been replaced with Java v12.
Java For Mac Mavericks Download
I am new to mac and recently received a MBP as a gift. My operating system is OS X 10.9.5 (Mavericks). I apologize if this has been answered numerous times in the forum but I have not been able to find a solution to my problem.
I am trying to install Java for one website that my firm uses for VPN Remote Desktop connections. My colleagues use both Mac's and PC's to connect without a problem through this website. Java is required to run the scripts for our RSA token keys, the script is Array Solutions.
I recently tried to connect and was prompted to download the latest version of Java. I believe is was version 8. I downloaded the file and installed without a hitch. I checked my security settings etc. to make sure all was in order.
Java For Mac 10.14
When I visited the site, I was prompted to accept the user certificate and allowed the site access to Java. It started to work and then I received a pop up window indicating that I need to install the most current version of Java. The strange part is that I have it. Needless to say, I was not able to gain access because my Java isn't working.

Is there a solution to this? Will I need to bring my Mac to my neighborhood store and have one the Geniuses configure my system?
Cheers,
W.
